In particular, the Art Gallery boasts paintings by Popi Pavlakis, including five donated by the Municipality of Rethymno and the Crete Museum of Modern Art. Additionally, the Monastery has accepted paintings from common people who wished to contribute to the Arkadi project.

Here, ancient relics that have withstood the test of time, despite the Monastery’s occupation by insidious besiegers, are on display.
