Overview:
The Archaeological Museum Of Heraklion houses the most important and representative finds of the Minoan civilization. Initially, the museum was created in 1904.
The exhibits have been categorized by era, from the Neolithic period up to the Roman and secondary by region that the items were discovered.
At your visit to the Museum, do not miss the opportunity to see the “Goddess of the Ofi snakes”, the Rock-crystal rhyton, the rhyton in the shape of a bull’s head, The “Bull-leaping” fresco from the palace of Knossos, the Phaistos Disk and the statue of Aphrodite from the Roman Era, which was found in the region of Gortyna.

Admission Fee:
• General admission: Full: €12, Reduced: €6
• Special ticket package: Full: €20, (Package valid for: Knossos Archaeological Site & Heraklion Archaeological Museum). The special ticket package is valid for 3 days (only one visit per site is allowed in the 3 day period). From 1st April to 31st October 2021, the price of the special package is 20 Euros.
